YMCA of the USA is working with the White House Summer Jobs+ Program

The YMCA of the USA is working with the White House Summer Jobs+ Program to organize a job shadowing opportunity for youth aged 16-24.

The Houston YMCA Job Shadowing Day will be Wednesday, June 20^th. 

I need your help to recruit 100 teens/young adults to participate on that day.

They will be assigned in pairs to a YMCA Professional, and will begin their day at 9:00 a.m.  They will spend the morning learning about the Y and the position from that staff person.  The students will also have a chance to talk about their personal career aspirations and goals. 

From 1:00-2:30 there will be a lunch with a guest speaker at the Tellepsen YMCA downtown.

**Please note:  We cannot transport 16-17 year olds in anything other than a YMCA vehicle driven by a certified Y driver. These participants will need to sign the teen enrollment form. (Attached)

The 18-24 year olds can ride along with mentors.

The day will conclude at 3:00 p.m.

Please refer your clients who are in this age group by Friday, June 8^th.
